BU history at the Pawtucket Film Festival

The PFF will premiere “Vendors Day Rally, Boston University, Spring 1976”   It’s a 15 minute documentary with Ed ”Moose” Savage, as a 24 year old hippie vendor, Professor Howard Zinn, and Father Daniel Berrigan.

The second film is:  “Yo” by Melissa Lohman, 1990:  “In his legendary shop, Picture Paradise, Boston area musician, Ed Moose Savage, gives 9 -year-old, Hope Roth, a yo-yo lesson. Amidst framed movie posters, postcards, and tchochkes, Moose performs yo-yo tricks such as walk the dog, rock the baby and around the world.”

The third film is:  “This Store is Closing!”   This is also a premier showing.  It’s about 31 minutes, shot in 2005 by Justin Caless.  Video and interview with proprietor Ed “Moose” Savage, regaling stories and store history at Picture Paradise, 109 Brighton Ave. Allston, Mass. 5-27-05.   Admission is only $10 bucks, and that includes our music performance, 3 films, Sam Adams beer, Iggy’s Bread, other food, a great silkscreened t-shirt of the event and a Q and A with Moose.
